Job Summary

The Home Health Aide (HHA) provides non-medical personal care and companionship services to clients in their homes. This position assists clients with daily living activities while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Help clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry and organizing living areas.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Remind clients to take medications as directed.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or emotional condition.
• Maintain accurate daily care documentation.
• Follow individualized care plans established by the agency.
• Maintain client confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Current Home Health Aide certification (where applicable).
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong observation and reporting abilities.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with client transfers.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable work ethic.
